SQ Themes Repository

You can download themes for SQ Remote HD using the links below. Themes are split into 2 sections, "official themes" from SQ Remote and "user submitted" themes. if you would like to submit a theme for inclusion in the list below, please contact us at themes@squareconnect.com

Note that the official themes listed below can be downloaded and installed directly within SQ Remote HD and SQ Remote Lite. This download page allows users to access themes on their own Mac/PC. From there you can edit the themes, upload them to box.net or import them into SQ Designer.

To load a downloaded theme (or a theme that you create yourself) into SQ Remote HD or Lite, you will need to upload it to a folder named "SQThemes" on your box.net account. This folder should be located in the root folder of your box.net account (next to the "SQControlPads" folder).

You are free to use the themes posted here as starting points for your own themes. You can change as little or as much as you like to create your own themes to get the "look" that is right for you.

A document explaining how themes are constructed is available here. We recommend using SQ Designer to create your themes, as this simplifies the process greatly.

Official Themes

Leather and Wood version: 1.0

Bring a little class to your SQ Remote User Interfaces. This theme has a wood surround, a metal inner frame surrounding a leather effect center control area. The control buttons have been completely replaced with a new "jewel" style. Download this theme to give your control panels a new look, or use this as the starting point of your own theme.

Suitable for: iPad / iPhone / iPod Touch

Star Trek LCARS version: 1.0

We made this as a demonstration of what can be done and hopefully to inspire other "special" themes. This is a demo theme of the LCARS control User Interface for Star Trek fans. Take charge of the Transporter Room or the Bridge... or your Blu-ray player.
"...Put it on the main screen Mr. Sulu..."

Note that this theme is not suitable for all control types, you will need to select those controls that work well with this theme.
